The idea to create HUMANT was born when I took a trip to Istanbul, Turkey, for a couple of days that soon became months. I went with the idea of traveling to different countries in Eastern Europe while I was studying online. But, after arriving at a place, I found through Airbnb, which turned out to be a Coliving space called “Social House”. I met many interesting people from around the world, so I decided to stay longer. After almost four months of living in Turkey, I returned to Mexico to finish my master’s degree, and that’s when I started to ask myself: “What do I want to do now?”.

After finishing my studies, I spent some time looking for a job while I traveled to Nicaragua and Costa Rica; I met distant relatives and new people while experiencing different ways of thinking, living, and even some new words, even though we all spoke the same language. Thanks to these trips, I continue to ponder what I wanted moving forward; after thorough introspection, I realize I always had a dream of having my own business, but now while being a Digital Nomad.

Now back in Mexico I decide to start a new project; one for people like me, travelers who are open to sharing life experiences and immersing themselves in different cultures. I realize I need a team though, so I start reaching out to some people. In comes Iker, a longtime friend who wants to start a business. He has vast experience in the hotel and tourism industry and is someone I can fully trust. Azucena, my cousin with whom I grew up since I was a child. She has great artistic capabilities, experience in Digital Marketing, and most importantly, someone who decides to believe in my project and shares my ideas. Last but not least, Julio, my little brother and best friend, is one of the smartest people I know, with a great work ethic. He brings his experience in tech to the project.

It's with them that the idea for HUMANT fully realizes and the team is born. HUMANT is intended to be a tailor-made experience for Digital Nomads: our people.
